Francisco Alvarado came from Chihuahua Mexico, he started as a Sushi Chef in San Francisco at Blue Zing Tuna, Happy Sushi, Sushi Niko, Fuji Grill and Tagano Sushi. Eventually he went back to Mexico to diversify his culinary arts.

He came to Chicago with the Idea of opening his own Sushi Restaurant, thats when the whole Idea of Mr. Sushi started. Over the years, Mr. Sushi has grown and expanded its delectable menu as well as its locations.
